Serving Shipley Heights and nearby
Wilmington AquaRestore handles water damage restoration in Shipley Heights with the same crew that covers the rest of New Castle County. We know the housing stock here: rowhouses off Shipley Street with original copper pipe, older commercial buildings near Market Street, and basements that take on groundwater every time a heavy storm rolls through. That mix means we pack for PEX and copper repairs, not just extraction.
Our technicians hold IICRC WRT and ASD credentials, and we run DeWalt and Milwaukee tools alongside Dri-Eaz and Phoenix drying equipment. When you search for Shipley Heights Water Damage Restoration, you want a company that has already worked the blocks between Rodney Square and Orange Street. We have. We show up, find the source, extract the water, and dry the structure until a moisture meter reads normal.
Shipley Heights sits in a part of Wilmington where older sewer infrastructure and aging plumbing meet storm-driven basement flooding. The 19801 and 19805 ZIP codes generate a steady stream of calls after heavy rain, and the historic buildings around Market Street and Shipley Street have plumbing that was never designed for today's water pressure. We serve this neighborhood because the demand is real and the buildings need contractors who understand old pipe, old drains, and old foundations.

Shipley Heights has a unique set of water damage risks. The older housing stock, combined with heavy rain and aging infrastructure, creates problems you might not see in newer neighborhoods. Here are the most common issues we handle and how we solve them.
Many homes in Shipley Heights have copper or galvanized pipes that are decades old. They corrode from the inside and can burst without warning, especially in winter when water freezes and expands.
The combined sewer system in Wilmington can back up during heavy rain. Water enters basements through floor drains, foundation cracks, and sump pumps that cannot keep up. Groundwater intrusion is also common.
Older sewer lines in Shipley Heights can be overwhelmed by storm water or clogged by tree roots. When sewage backs up into your home, it is a health hazard that requires professional cleanup.
Water heaters have a lifespan of about 10 to 12 years. In Shipley Heights, many are older and can rust through or fail at the fittings. A leak can flood a utility room or basement quickly.

There is no price list here, because every job is different. These are the things that move an estimate most.
The more square footage that is wet, the more extraction and drying equipment you need. A single room is faster and cheaper to dry than a whole basement. We measure the area and calculate the equipment needed.
Clean water from a supply line is easier to handle than gray water from a washing machine or black water from sewage. Contaminated water requires removal of more materials and additional disinfection, which increases the cost.
The longer water sits, the more it soaks into materials. If you call us within a few hours, we can often save flooring and drywall. If it has been days, we may need to remove and replace more materials.
